This year the Festival’s theme was inspired by water; we chose ‘Sea Change’, as it represents how much change we have all experienced this past year, as well as the critical topic of climate change and the impact of our actions on the sea and water system.
If you’re looking to introduce these topics to your family, you may be interested in the Blue Peter Green Badge. This is a fun and straightforward way to encourage thinking about our impact on the planet, and introduce some positive actions everyone can take part in from home (from switching off lights when you’re finished with them, to sorting the recycling or growing bee-friendly plants).
As well as being a positive activity to take part in, children aged 6+ who successfully complete the activities can apply for a Blue Peter badge, which gives them free access to a huge range of days out and attractions.
