Where and when: 10:30am 11 September, Sheep Street
Yes, the Flash Mob is hitting Bicester!
With a new song, “We’re Moving On“, and choreography by Daniel Browne, of Groove Aerobics, he’s hoping that many people including children, and less mobile members will break out into dance, and song in Sheep Street.
Not only will this surprise the casual passer by, but it will also provide a spectacle on video that has not as yet been seen in the centre of this market town.
Timed to run after the opening of the Bicester Street Piano by Charlie Ross, of BBC
Bargain Hunt, and Antiques Road Trip fame, this will give locals an opportunity to take part in an event, rather than just being casual observers.
Daniel has worked out a routine, which he has done a training video for, and published it on Youtube and Facebook.
He described the routine he has created, and how everyone can get involved:
“I have made a ‘learn at home’ video, which is on Youtube [ed: see below], and on Facebook, Search for “Bicester Flashmob”. I have kept it simple, so that it only takes about a quarter of an hour to learn. This means that even if you only hear about the event on the day, you can still take part. And if you need to remain seated, then you can just follow the arm movements which I have created, and shown on the video. I really want to involve everyone.”
Daniel ended by saying
“Let’s put Bicester on the map and get people Grooving, ‘From Couch to Move to Groove’!”
The music is a 4 minute track, ‘We’re Moving On‘, which has been arranged specifically for the event.
