No, you can access the Festival from any device with an internet connection. We are broadcasting performances and workshops using Facebook, Zoom, Youtube and through our website.
The video has frozen or I can’t see the video.
Firstly, try checking the video from our other platform (if you’re looking at our website, try Facebook, or vice versa. You don’t need a Facebook log in to be able to see the video stream, so don’t worry if you don’t use it otherwise.
Otherwise, please check your internet connection and/or try refreshing the page.
After the video stream ends you may see a blank screen or holding card. If you refresh the screen and see our placeholder image (our phoenix image from our website) then you know the broadcast has finished.
If it is us experiencing technical difficulties you will see a black screen saying ‘unavailable’. If this is the case rest assured we will be working to resolve the problem as soon as possible.
I can’t hear any sound, or the others can’t hear me.
Please check the sound controls within the Facebook video or Zoom screen itself, as they are separate to the volume controls for your phone or computer.
For Zoom, you can mute and un-mute yourself or the others in the call by clicking the microphone icons so please check these are not muted.
